I believe thought is as good as yopur attitude."is the cup half full or half empty"in your mind. Positive thought garners sucess, negative thought, obviously garners defeat. To go a step further, your thought life depends on your circumstances to a large degree. It takes a strong person to remain positive in the most strenuous of circumstances.Very few people i have met can maintain this.(I definately can't!0

"A play ought to be just and lively" - DRYDEN
"There is a mode in plays as well as clothes" - DRYDEN
"In plays there are two pleasures for your choosing -" - BYRON
The words in a play often have a useful message, thus qualify as "Food for thought.

Special thanks due to Freya, Diogenes & Ghostbuster for being real time players on this "Food For Thought" Stage Play.
It is fine to listen to the echoes of past masters of the use of words to make a trivial or important point. But, the real time discussion or debate of living folks, gives us another important element on this play of words.

i like the idea of continuing this thread of food for thought with some meat and potatoes or veggie burgers for our vegan friends we seemed to stated our banquet with desert How about some substance now?
Canadians Alienate The Poor To the editor: I totally agree with P.D.'s comments and also agree that Canadians have alienated the poor segment of our population.
This alienation begins with our general misconception that this segment of Canadians has somehow chosen this lot in life and are doing little or nothing to improve it for themselves. It's like giving a chisel to a miner and telling him to dig himself out of the shaft. This alienation further manifests itself in the Government that those misconceived Canadians elect into office.
Policies put into place by the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Government provide little to help out this faction of our society.
Of course no one wants to have to see some junkie injecting himself in plain view (nor should they), or to have to deal with artifacts of violence that often plagues the areas that this socio-economic group inhabits.
The solution to our woes lies with us, the people, and those we install into office. If you can tolerate the knowledge that these conditions exist in our Province/Community, say your good night prayers and sleep tight. If you truly care about the situation you're living in and want to see change ... offer assistance. Get out there bring food, blankets, and empathy or if that is a little too "in your face", for you, lobby your M.P., M.L.A., City Councilor to effect change. Do something!
No body likes to change, but change can be more easily rationalized during prosperous times than in times of scarcity. The prosperity we are enjoying today has yielded a Provincial surplus of over a $800M and a Federal surplus of 6.5B . These surpluses occur while many Canadians don't have enough to feed their children tonight, or may not have a place to sleep as night draws. Pass it on!

As we sip our second cup of morning coffee in the comfort of our homes, we can read about the bizarre demise of the 21 year old cadet GROZELLE, the ongoing story about former federal inister GAGLIANO, Autism treatment in Canada or 'Zen For Men".
These stories or issues may not have the direct impact of the Rolling Thunder "Wine & Roses" saga, but should they be considered for a brief footnote in "Food For Thought".
