Thanks so much. My parents live on Blueridge and without your help we would have lost our house. I spent 20 years of my life in that place and would have been really sad if it had fallen to the fire. Everyone in the Kelowna fire department and other the other fire fighters from around Canada need a firm pat on the back.

Thank you doesn't even seem like enough. To all of you on the front lines...your truly a blessing. To not have one life is lost is incredible. Yes this is part of your job, but not a fire to this extent. You all should be so proud of what your doing. To all the Police, Soldiers, Volunteers, people that have opened their hearts, wallets and homes...god bless you all. THIS IS ONE MIGHTY FINE TEAM. Canada, let's show the world this is what helping your neighbor is all about. It shouldn't have to be a fire to bring everyone together, but let this be an example to each and everyone of us, that no matter what, we can always do something for another. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

I'd like to thank the firefighters and RCMP that are working on the Vaseux Lake fire. That one doesn't threaten a huge city like Kelowna, but those men and women are working just as hard to save the communities of OK Falls and Gallagher Lake. I pray that none of you are injured on the job, now or ever.

My kids dug through their stuff to find a yellow ribbon to tie to the car antenae. Yesterday coming home from school, a firetruck passed us and my son was watching the driver. He then reported that the driver appeared to stare at the ribbon breifly, smiling before he went past.
My son was very pleased that the fireman driving that truck took pleasure in the sight of the kids' yellow ribbon. If my kids had their way, they'd be out helping clean up the burned out lots.
To all you firemen out there, our children appreciate your efforts too and want you to know that you are appreciated very much!
