When you start a thread, you never know if it will catch on with other listers. Over time, other members may lose interest in this unique thread.
Although I hope to add a few more messages, however, if interest falls away, I don't intend to be the only visitor. Re the Last Words and Epitaph messages, I hope this was not foreshadowing the end of interest and thus the death of the thread.
If there are no further messages, then I will lay it to rest. It will be all members that decide, not the strong word of a lone member. Thus, it will be the action of other listers that determines the outcome not a "lone ranger" or any other "Kelowna Cowboy"!

lone ranger" or any other "Kelowna Cowboy"! perhaps now is the time for those who once spoke so strongly in reguard to using ones "own words" to make their re appearence Has this tread worn thin? Is it to be style over substance you decide or have that already been done the lack of posters might be an indicator

No words are needed, the thread wil live or die with the actions of members. Dio's follow-up comments will guarantee that the thread will continue.
Re. Last Words: They are welcome on the Rolling Thunder thread as long as they relate to food, drink, flowers, or good fun times with a touch of Irish blarney and a flights of fantasy!

After posting the last message, I came up for air and landed in a sea of "deep thought" , "deep thoughts" and other variations.

To end my current contribution to this thread, I will close with a real "food for thought":
"A good style must, first of all, be clear. It must not be mean or above the dignity of the subject. It must be appropriate." - that dear boy himself "Aristotle"

Funny think, the basic Golden Rule of most religions is almost identical in translation. So why can't the religious "leaders" get their act together. The basic premise is: Treat others as you would have them treat you!
It figures the likes of George Bernand Shaw would take it to a different level. "Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same".
However, if we take Golden rule & Shaw's view, mix and match and you get a logical conclusion - i.e. respect others as you would have them respect you for your differences.

The Golden Rule has become the norm to preach on. Most preachers forget the big thing that Jesus said"Go,spread the gospel over the world, make disciples of ALL men." It is man who has bastardized the message. We adhere to the parts that are easy.I can treat people as sweet as pie,I do as much as i am able to help.Do I spread Jesus' message even tho I am a "born again beleiver? No,not as i should be. Then again,a lot of people say Jesus Christ was a heretic.Just some Galilean spouting maddness.

Thanks again to those that have continued to post on this thread. Some have posted only one while one as posted many. But isn't that just an example of any community or group big or small
