This may seem like a very stupid question. But I have tried to get the answer elsewhere and it seems that all the people here are very versed on what they are talking about.
Do the people in the SE Kelowna area pay municipal taxes that go toward the KFD or are they outside the catchment area?
Thanks for the information in advance!

Horsey,
Why are u so hostile!! This forum is a place for ALL people to voice their opinions. It is not necessary for people to identify themselves.
Also, why would this gentleman (Roofus) tell you who he is when you are behaving in such a confrontational manner. I certainly wouldn't
Maybe you should kick it DOWN a notch and you will see that the old saying "You catch more flies with honey...." is true!!
Just meant as constructive not criticizing!

OK girl, We do pay taxes, not sure exactly what for up there as up till a week before the fire we had no fire coverage and our police coverage is bare to minimal, that is unless you have a grow op, then you'll have the entire BC police force out there on your door, but hey if you beat your wife, and she calls 911 they will not come... called them myself to find out if this was true, and that is what I was told. We signed on for fire coverage a month before the fire, it was signed, sealed and delivered one week before the fire started.... so to answer your question yes, in theory they are suppose to protect our homes and livelyhood.... but hey I guess we really won't know for sure till one of the homes up there burns up.

ok girl I'm not hotile and I'm not looking for a fight. But I wish that Roofus that calls down the SEK paper, whatever it is, by saying they are not brave enough to put a name or contact person on the literature. I am just calling him on this issue. Also, by litteraly saying that the individual named Rick Pasutto or a family member did this. His facts are wrong and I wish that he would state facts not false say so's. I am not idling threats like the one's that Roofus has I am just a person withmy opinion. Furthermore, I do not see why you would worry about me putting my personal infromation on this forum. I called Roofus up and he knows how to get ahold of me. He could also get me through a personal mail in this poster board. Thanks

OKGirl,
I think that what you have forgotten about having an opinion is that when you do decide to express it, make certain that it is substantiated and defensible. Roofus' statements about Rick have been neither. If he were to attack the character of a member of my family in a similar manner as he has Rick’s, particularly without ever having any personal knowledge of who Rick is or what he stands for, you can bet that I would react in the same way as Horsey has. Her reaction is something that ought to have been expected by someone making such disparaging and unwarranted remarks about a person that, in my opinion, did so much to protect a community that I love dearly and that Roofus, no doubt, does too.
