Perhaps there could be a limit on the number of accounts from an individuals IP address. Two accounts would be sufficient, assuming there are two people using the computer. It would put a stop to the person/people with multiple accounts causing nothing but trouble on the boards.

I think we would have to be careful about that, as there are many households, mine included that have 2 or 3 or more users on the same computer. We have a router with three seperate PC's hooked up to it, all with different e-mail users but the same IP address.
Unfortunately, in every public domain, there are people who are immature or disruptive.
There would be the option of trying for a more active moderator, but that may be too intrusive for some people's liking.
In the meantime, posting where your interest lies, responding to topics that interest you is probably the way to go. If your topic of interest gets bumped back a page, move it up again.
It is annoying, but all things, good bad and annoying come to an end eventually.

Another point, is a family of say three to five may all have just one e-mail account, but may have strong differences & opinions on a hot topic.
The statement about a specific thread is logical. post to your thread likes and it will appear. If all single or family users were interested they could include their own thread e.g. The WATERSHED Thread. or the PrincessJenn thread or the CAFFEINE thread.
A personal or family thread would allow them to focus on their items of interest to be shared with others. If others are not interested in a specific topic or member, then there is no pressure to visit the thread or comment. But out of respect, negative shots or mudslinging against that individual or family should be avoided.
Thus, if folks focus on a specific thread and stick to the substance of the thread, then this site would operate in a much kinder and smoother manner. Also, if opposing views are necessary, all responders should focus on the message not engage in personal confrontation with the messanger.
And that my take on the subject.

As this is Friday (TGIF), keep it brief"
Good topic, reasonable discussion, and likely conclusion - keep things the way they are.
We all can take responsibility for our own posts and err from time to time. But, those wanting to come up with a fresh new batch of "sorry" quotes, please confine them to one or more of the "Thought" threads and everyone else will do okay"
