Yes Sheera, the closure of Western Star caused many hardships. I personally know three friends that used to work there...two are now on welfare although highly qualified. We must find a replacement for Western Star...the Beaver Aircraft proposal seems to have been a scam. There must be some product Kelowna can manufacture and sell from the Enterprise Rd factory. I'd like to hear suggestions from members of this forum.

Welcome to the forum cynical I have read your seven post's and can't say i disagree with anything you have said so far.Employees at Star were shown brochures from a prospective Custom coach builder from the States.Where did this potential tenant go?Freakliner is willing to pay taxes just to keep another possible truck company out of this facility? Force them to give up this factory so some work can move in.HOW simply get Walter's merry men to increase the tax bill ten fold.Americans play games with Canadian lives, WHERE are the politicians here? A full year after the closure and still no work. Talk of a film-industry makes sense because it is a long way from building trucks and won't compete with freakliners bottom line.Try talking to the blonde barbie Sindi is a real treat, HER DOORS ARE LOCKED AND SHE IS NEVER AROUND.

If Sindi has a nemisis, I'm He! I was the guy that wrote the editorials regarding her $10,000 power point presentations in the Cap News and The Courier. I still have her original files (courtesy of the Government of BC) on my computer. Greedaway (sic) And Associates was the company that assembled those pieces of trash. She must have been a terrible nurse, she's an even worse politician.

Waaaa waaaa waaaa. If Kelowna is soooooooo terrible then move you malcontents. Either that or shut up and just enjoy the fact that you live in the most beautiful area of the world. Good grief already - you sound like spoiled little brats that didn't get their way. Are all union lackeys that way? With the way they are always threatening to go on strike if they don't get their way (ie: ICBC union) I imagine they are. Unions have outlived their usefulness and have become sidetracked by greed. Out.
