I toured the fire damaged area and met with people who were affected by this horrible event. It has become evident that the fire has burned the ground in some places to such a degree along with large ash deposits that mud slides, erosion and silt entering the Okanagon Lake will be a huge issue in the coming months. Does one cut their trees and leave the logs behind to help catch the mud??? The city experts are very slow, with all of their meetings and traveling throughout the country to gather facts, in determining how to deal with this. Your ;D great leaders have created so many regulations that they are stuck in their own log jam of mud ; nothing will get done on time. It resembles the slow response to what first started the fire; a simple lightning strike. You folks need a major change in government... whew!

Exactly! Your political representatives so publicly demonstrate their gross incompetence that the citizens can only laugh at the misery which they have found themselves. Succeeding would be a fine solution...
