As this thread is limited to words and not creative solutions to solve all the problems of the World, Canada or Kelowna, a new thread has been started re IMPORTANT issues.

Summer reruns are okay for some, but a yawn for others. Beating the drum on one or two issues over and over again may be good for the drummer, but can be pain or torture for the audience, if the audience is listening.

"Summer reruns are okay for some, but a yawn for others. Beating the drum on one or two issues over and over again may be good for the drummer, but can be pain or torture for the audience, if the audience is listening.'
The above statement is loaded with Presupposition and presumption and though well written it tends to speak for others.
It may be, as some suggest, an entitled opinion. It IS however realy quite insulting to any who value speaking for themselves.
What is identifed as beeting the drummoere and aover again is in reality might rightly be identified with "bible thumping" missionaries, here or abroad! The charge is dissmissive to any who display passion for unresolved issues. Would you rather have the voice of discontent silenced?

Some will like it, others will not - but here goes:
Is this thread the best thing since sliced bread, or is that spreading it a little thick?

I don't know about your bread, but a crumb from the loaf:

Re the Dee and Zee comment, aren't they just spreading a little happiness and joy in their own unique ways much the same as S S and the why we are here and laughter threads, or the Rolling Thunder thread etc.

Re. the comments: "spreading it a little thick", "round-the-clock entertainment" and "spreading a little happiness and joy"
Before, anyone else makes the comment, I will step in with both feet firmly in "place" (you can guess where!).
There are those that would readily agree, that some of "my" posts may provide enough "fuel" to "fertilize a forest"

It is true that nobody should direct others as to the ideal thread for their messages. But, first one needs to ask what is the purpose and theme of a message and is there a specific audience targeted.
It is fair to judge that not all messages are read by all members. So, if you want your message to reach an interested audience then selecting the right thread would appear to be an elementary marketing strategy.
I'm pleased with the IMPORTANT Issue thread, to-date there have been a few interesting messages sich as the one re First Nations.
