Mom and Dad and a Brother inlaw say they saw the front of the house. Maybe without roof. Sorry, they saw it on news coverage, no they are not poking around in there.

I'm from the lower mainland, have friends in Kelowna and family in Okanagan Falls. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone out there, and want to thank castanet for this great site. It's the only way that I seem able to find anything out.

I am from Montreal. This is a great site. I am very grateful for it, as the news reports out this way have been pretty sparce. I have family in the lower Mission district who have been evacuated, so I am concerned. My thoughts are with you all. Keep strong.

Hi! I'm from Ottawa. My heart & prayers go out to you folks there in Kelowna. I can certainly understand the fear and the not knowing of what's going to happen next. When we in the NWT a few years ago, we were also under fire evacuation notice one summer. It was frightening to say the least.
I'm here on your website often for personal reasons. My 22 year old son is with the military, he's there fighting the fires. I'm worried of course for his safety. I don't know exactly where he is, I haven't talked to him since he left for Kelowna.
But kudos to you all, you must be so proud of your community, the way you all have pulled together to support each other.

From North Van, but have family in Kelowna, evacuated. Awesome site - helped us keep off the phone lines as we have been able to monitor the situation. Kudos to all in Kelowna who've dealt with a bad situation with class.

Hi , I'm from BATH in England. Looking through the photo albums made me realise the full extent of the devastation and danger that you are all going through. Stay strong, we are praying for your safety. Mike
